Today I was going to bake Slovak Nut Roll, but for some unknown reason, I decided to wake up in the middle of the night and watch “Escape From LA”. Have you ever seen it? I can’t decide whether it IS the single largest steaming pile of crap, or whether it’s a cinematic masterpiece. At 5 am, it’s mesmerizing. There are a whole lot of explosions, some sort of post-apocalyptic Hollywood, which I find intriguing, and RayLene from “My So Called Life”. It can’t possibly lose. Also? Kurt Russell has really retained some lustrous locks. Impressive!
Last night was also a fab meetup with some of the FitFluential team. Those ladies are just as buff in person, let me tell you.
Pictured: Kelly, Jill, Moi, and Carla.
Hopefully I get a picture with the rest of the ladies and gents tonight. They are so fantastic. Carla, who I’ve mentioned here before, is just as awesome as you want her to be by reading her blog. She sent a phone picture to her daughter to “kiss” her goodnight. How amazing is that?! Moreover, why didn’t my mom ever do that for me? I realize we didn’t have cell phones, or email, or any sort of rapid response thingy. She could have at least had herself sketched, or at least had a caricature drawn. Just more shit to talk to my therapist about; my mother didn’t love me enough to figure out how to develop new technology. It’s because I’m the middle child, I just know it.
So, in order to make cookies-my husband’s team at work is growing to rely on them-they’re going to HATE January, I’ve dressed up some ordinary No-Bakes, and let me tell you, I should’ve done this before. Not only are they ridiculously quick and easy, when you dress them up, they’re freaking adorable.
