Ok, so there’s this recipe going around on Pinterest that calls for a boxed strawberry cake mix and an asston extra butter and sugar. It’s friggen popular on Pinterest, and what it essentially is, is artificial ass, fat, and sugar.
I figured I could do it naturally and make it tastier. I wasn’t wrong.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients (24 brownies)
- 1lb fresh strawberries or 2 cups frozen
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 6 tbsp egg whites or 2 eggs
preheat oven to 375F
in a saucepan on medium, heat the butter, sugar and berries until they start to break down, about 5 minutes
cook 2 more minutes and mash with a potato masher until mostly one texture
take off heat and let cool a few minutes, if you skip this, you will regret it.
sift together dry ingredients
stir egg whites into the berry mixture
fold in dry ingredients
pour into a greased 13″-9″ pan
bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
