It’s Sunday. That means almost no words and all sugar. Can you think of a better way to end the weekend? (I can, but it involves Bradley Cooper, a trip to Catalina Island, champagne, and mood music….) Barring “Face” from “The A-Team” coming to my Sunday brunch to whisk me away, I give you the simplest and most delicious cookies.
6 ingredients, 15 minutes, pure perfection.

- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
Preheat oven to 375F and line a cookie sheet with a silpat or parchment paper
in a skillet, or shallow saucepan, heat butter, honey, and brown sugar until melted and granule-free
turn off the heat and whisk in the flour and extract
stir in almonds
dollop 1 tbsp cookie mixture at a time onto the cookie sheet 3″ apart and pat down
bake for 6 minutes or until edges are golden brown
drizzle with melted chocolate
