I Can’t Name This Post What I Am Thinking. Too Risque.

I’ll have to beg your pardon, I just switched from firefox to chrome, and I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. I also have no idea how to now remove firefox from my mac. I looked for an extinguisher fox, but fell short.

Today is What I Ate Wednesday, thanks to the sexy, sexy, Jen at Peas and Crayons.¬†Yesterday’s food should be labeled “tender tummy tuesday” because I started taking a new probiotic, and it hated me. I did manage to get a boatload of veggies in there, though. On the other hand protein reacted to my body like my stomach had just seen an ex-boyfriend making out with a supermodel. You’re not jealous, just nauseated. (I’m happy to say I have never seen this, I am only speculating.)

Guess what I had for breakfast!??! I know, you’re waiting with rapt anticipation.

farina. homemade, but it was still boring.

You thought I was going say oatmeal, didn’t you?? Incidentally, I think “Farina” would be a good name for a wheat colored cat.

Lunch was more of this. I took out the cheese. My tumbly didn’t want cheese.

snack and snack.

That was the only way protein was making it in my tum. Hummus and yogurt. I maybe should’ve not gone for the “supremely spicy” hummus. hurts.so.good.

Dinner was beef with oyster sauce and snap peas with wild rice for the fam, and voluminous oats for me.

Those strawberries were on sale and so beautiful that I couldn’t pass them up. This is only the picture, but I added approximately 10 more.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Voluminous Oats with Chia

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes


  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 egg whites-pasteurized (like egg beaters all whites or similar)
  • 1 tbsp chia
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • chopped strawberries
  • agave nectar or honey to taste


add the chia to the water and set aside for 10 minutes

while chia is setting up, whisk egg whites until soft peaks form.

bring water and milk to a simmer on the stove

stir in oats slowly

cook for 10 minutes

whisk in cocoa powder and salt.

add in sweetener.

fold in whites and strawberries.


add a scoop of protein powder!

  5. haha ‘extinguisher fox’ – funny. Chrome is SO great. You’ll love it. Food looks good! I’m going to try your voluminous oats recipe. chocolate, chia, strawberries… sounds good to me!
